Érase Un Barco
a table, a pier, and a boat for a monologue
This project comprises the conceptualization, design, and fabrication of the scenographic design for a monologue. The story follows the path of a young man whose father dies, leaving behind an empty place at the table. In his despair, the young man goes to the docks, builds a boat, and sails away from his father’s memory.
The scenography consists of pieces of furniture with which the actor has direct physical interaction, transforming the
meaning of the objects throughout the play.
